Air Berlin announced that it will begin its annual summer nonstop service between Düsseldorf and Los Angeles on April 13. The service will operate using newly refurbished Airbus A330-200 aircraft, equipped with 19 new FullFlat seats in business class.
The new business-class seats, which were developed in cooperation with Air Berlin’s partner, Etihad Airways, have a pitch of 60″ and a width of 20”. The seats can be fully reclined into beds with a length of 71″, and are equipped with massage functions, 15” monitors, and individual USB ports.
The aircraft also has 279 standard economy-class seats, each with a pitch of 30” and a width of 18.”
The summer service will operate four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, beginning in April and lasting through October. Flights will depart Los Angeles International Airport at 5:55 p.m. and arrive at Düsseldorf Airport at 1:40 p.m. the next day. Flights from Düsseldorf will depart at 1:20 p.m. and arrive in Los Angeles at 4:10 p.m.
Air Berlin currently serves 147 destinations worldwide and is a member of the oneworld alliance.
